How well do You Know Yourself?

How well do you really know yourself? 🤔
And possibly more importantly how well do you listen to yourself?
If you’re anything like me until relatively recently the honest answer is surprising.
Yoga provides an excellent space for enquiry inward. Into the parts of the self that we don’t wear on our sleeves. It can be a shadowy and even scary place. But the enquiry is always worthwhile.
Last week we brought a beginners mind to the challenge. This week we’ve gone one strep further with the aim of quietening the mind.
Sutra 1.2 “yogas chitta vritti nirodha” is commonly translated as “yoga is the cessation of the whirlpools or fluctuations of the mind.”
This as a central ideal creates space for us to step out of the constant flow of our thoughts. To engage with our deeper experience of the moment.
By feeling rather than thinking we can know ourselves in a profound new way ✨🧘🏾✨
